C) RSS2-EU : GM RESOLVING TIME SET

The RSS2 source set is specifically designed to be used for determining the resolving time of a Geiger-Müller (GM) counter. Its a vital parameter that measures how rapidly the counter can react to and discern individual radiation events. The resolving time essentially represents the duration required for the GM counter to identify and process a radiation event.

To create the individual sources of the RSS2 source set, radioactive material is placed within a well situated at the center of an injection-molded Plexiglas® disk. Afterward, the radioactive substance is allowed to dry and securely sealed using an epoxy plug. The RSS2 set comprises three half-disks, with two of them containing Tl-204 and the remaining one containing no material. Available configuration RSS2-EU: Contains 2 half-disks with 0.25 µCi of Tl-204 in each (0.5 µCi total).

D) ALPHA/BETA NEEDLE SOURCES:

A needle source is specifically designed to be used with a cloud chamber. The needle source introduces ionizing radiation into the chamber, making it possible to observe alpha and beta particle tracks. Needle sources are available in three isotopes at fixed activities:
Pb-210 – 0.01 µCi (0.37 kBq)
Po-210 – 0.01 µCi (0.37 kBq)
Sr-90 – 0.01 µCi (0.37 kBq)

E) LAMINATE DISK SOURCES: Laminate disk sources with Al/Mylar windows are designed for use as reference sources in situations where less source attenuation is required.

Available Isotopes: Ba-133, C-14, Cd-109, Cs-137, Co-57, Co-60, Eu-152, Fe-55, I-125, Mn-54, Po-210, Na-22, Sr-90, Tl-204 and Zn-65.
Source Activity (µCi) : 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 5 and 10.
Disk Size : 0.51 x 25.4mm and 0.51 x 44.5 mm

F) RSS3 UN: ALPHA/BETA/GAMMA SET

The RSS3 is specifically designed to observe and compare the behavior of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, and their interactions with matter. The RSS3 contains three disk sources: 1 alpha emitter (Po-210), 1 beta emitter (Sr-90), and 1 gamma emitter (Co-60). Activity : Po-210 (0.1 µCi), Sr-90 (0.1 µCi), and Co-60 (0.5 µCi).

G) RSS5 EU – ALPHA/BETA/GAMMA SET

The RSS5 is specifically designed to observe and compare the behavior of alpha, beta, and gamma radiation, and their interactions with matter. The RSS5 contains three disk sources: 1 alpha emitter (Po-210), 2 beta emitters (Sr-90 & Tl-204), and 2 gamma emitters (Co-60 & Cs-137). Activity : Po-210 (0.1 µCi), Sr-90 (0.1 µCi), Tl-204 (0.25 µCi), Co-60 (1 µCi), and Cs-137 (0.25 µCi)
